Island Empire is a free browser strategy game set in the age of sail. You start with one small island and a handful of workers, and the rest is up to you.Build mines, a farm, a shipyard and a harbour, research new techniques and grow your island into a fortress. Then look beyond the coast: colonise new islands, hunt pirate convoys, raid pirate nests and, when you are ready, take on the fortress of the Pirate King.
Combat is split into two phases. First the fleets fight at sea, then the troops land and storm the walls. Admirals and generals with their own doctrines, wall modules and the right mix of ships and soldiers decide the outcome, not just the bigger number. Before every attack you can scout the target and plan with your brotherhood in the war council.
Nobody plays alone. Join a brotherhood, share resources through the brotherhood bank, build alliance buildings together and defend each others islands. Every brotherhood gets its own channel on our Discord.Pick one of four nations, England, Spain, the Netherlands or Portugal, and earn a letter of marque.
