Frozen Throne is a custom Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a private server built for players who want the freedom to enjoy Azeroth at their own pace. The project focuses on stable performance, solo-friendly progression, advanced PlayerBots, and quality-of-life improvements while keeping the familiar WotLK experience intact.
Unlike a basic stock setup, Frozen Throne combines AzerothCore with customized forks, server-specific patches, modified community projects, and ongoing custom development. The server is actively maintained and shaped by player feedback. Bugs are fixed as they are reported, and new features are added when they improve the experience without changing the core identity of Wrath.
PlayerBots are one of the main features. Bots can quest, join RDF, clear dungeons, participate in raids, fight in battlegrounds, and support alternate characters. Once inside an instance, the tank bot can lead the route, so you do not have to manually guide the party through every corridor. Crossfaction RDF with bots is also supported, including bot commands while grouped with the opposite faction.
Frozen Throne is designed for players who do not always have the time, population, or guild support needed for traditional group progression. You can level alone, run dungeons with bots, progress through raids, experiment with different characters, and still group with real players whenever you want.
All dungeons are bot-compatible, and many Classic, Burning Crusade, and Wrath raids support bot groups, including Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Karazhan, Black Temple, Sunwell Plateau, Naxxramas, Ulduar, Trial of the Grand Crusader, Icecrown Citadel, Ruby Sanctum, and more.Server rates are XP x1 by default, adjustable up to x7, with Skills x3 and Reputation x3.
Quality-of-life features include account-wide mounts, unlocked flight paths, AoE loot, automatic junk selling, automatic spell learning, crossfaction world chat, RDF without average item level requirements, optional Death Knight starting zone skip, increased stack sizes, stackable Warlock Soul Shards, Auction House Bot, anti-cheat protection, a Reagents Bank, and Dalaran Auction House access.
Optional Mythic+ dungeons are available up to +7, rewarding gold, Emblems of Frost, and epic items. Transmogrification is available in major cities, Guild Houses provide private guild gathering spaces, and character services such as name, race, faction, and appearance changes can be purchased with in-game gold.
Frozen Throne is completely free to play. Donations are optional and help cover dedicated hosting and continued development. Donation rewards are limited to cosmetic mounts, companion pets, and an optional Level 80 boost. The boost does not include gear, gold, reputation, professions, or other progression advantages.
No exclusive raid gear, improved stats, stronger abilities, or pay-to-win combat advantages are sold.The community currently consists mostly of solo players and small groups, making the server ideal for anyone who wants a relaxed WotLK experience without waiting hours for groups. If you want to explore Wrath content, level multiple characters, use advanced bots, clear dungeons and raids at your own pace, and still be part of a player community, Frozen Throne is built around that style of play.
